BackyardADU is a static informational site. We collect minimal data and never sell it.

Information we collect

• Analytics: We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to count visits, track which pages are popular, and understand how people find us. GA4 uses cookies and stores aggregate, anonymised data on Google's servers. You can opt out via the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
• Internal analytics (scout-analytics): We run a privacy-light custom analytics script that records anonymised pageview events and traffic source. No personal data is collected. No fingerprinting.
• Advertising (when active): We may serve advertisements via Google AdSense. AdSense uses cookies to serve relevant ads. You can manage ad personalisation via the Google Ads Settings.
• Email: If you email us, we retain that email for as long as necessary to address your message. We never add it to a marketing list without explicit consent.

Information we do not collect

• We do not collect names, addresses, or phone numbers unless you voluntarily provide them in an email.
• We do not run user accounts or logins.
• We do not sell, rent, or share personal data with third parties.

This site uses cookies set by Google Analytics, Google AdSense (when active), and Google Fonts. You can disable cookies via your browser settings — the site works without them.

Third-party links

We link to external sites including the California HCD, CSLB, UC Berkeley, and individual builders. We are not responsible for their privacy practices.
